Active Recreation on the Go Around Bad Königshofen

Discovering nature and culture on two wheels is a truly special experience for cyclists in the Haßberge Nature Park. As you ride through valleys, hollows, and across fertile rolling hills, you will encounter reminders of the past at every turn—castles, beautifully preserved historic towns, and extraordinary castle ruins waiting to be explored.
A ride along the "Road of Half-Timbered Romance" (Straße der Fachwerkromantik) offers a wonderful glimpse of this diversity, as it connects a whole host of these attractions. In the south, the route leads through the wide, open Main Valley and the Abt-Degen Wine Valley. On the western slopes of the Haßberge Nature Park—which descend gently toward the Main River—you will encounter charming wine towns such as Ebelsbach, Zeil am Main, and Königsberg in Bayern. Finally, the "Road of Half-Timbered Romance" winds its way up into the rolling hills above, tracing a path of gentle curves and sweeping turns. Here, remarkable historic towns such as Königsberg i. Bay., Hofheim i. UFr., Stadtlauringen, and Bad Königshofen await to enchant you.
